Activist Rallies Americans to Vote for “Commonsense Movement” to Unite, Heal America

Rev. Krua at Boston Civil War Memorial: Massachusetts 54th Regiment of African American Soldiers during America’s 1st Civil War over racism and slavery.

BOSTON, Massachusetts – With less than 24 hours to the U.S. Midterm election, a Liberian, Rev. Torli Krua is leading a proposal calling on all people of color and Americans of goodwill to join in creating what he called an “emergency exit and an off-ramp on the two-lane highway of death and self-destruction that Democrats and Republicans are trapped in.” The greatest threat facing our world is not the war in Ukraine but racism, division, and a potentially catastrophic civil war in America: “… Divided we fall.”

Rev. Krua discovered an opportunity for racial reconciliation and unity on every ballot in the Midterm election-an open “write-In” slot for every voter to choose their own candidate not listed on the ballot if they are not satisfied with the “polarized” Democrat or Republican candidate printed on the ballot.

Marking “PEACEMAKERS” on all the “write in” slots, Rev. Krua said, is a huge opportunity for people with common sense to prevent civil war, and end the division and gridlock, both Republicans and Democrats are trapped in. The ballot has created a rare opportunity for a new movement for an alternative and an emergency exit and an off-ramp to save America: “united we stand. Divided we fall.”

In a statement issued on Sunday, the renowned Liberian advocate based in Boston, Massachusetts said after the “Peacemakers” is tallied nationally, the commonsense movement would embark on healing and uniting the United States by first taking a week-long Contrition and Service Retreat, with the oppressed human beings living in poverty at the two symbols of American racism and colonization on Earth; The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and West Point, Monrovia, Liberia-the two worst places unfit for human habitation on Earth.

He wrote: “Only those who make such a trip and serve the oppressed will qualify to run for office in the next election to give Congress a fresh start and rebirth of America, not as a Nation of Immigrants but as a new Nation of Nations. The new agenda focuses on passing laws that specifically mitigate the harm of racist laws codified by Congress, including the March 26, 1790 law that made America the Nation of White European Immigrants.”

Other racist laws, he added, supported American Colonization that removed and colonized Black Americans in Liberia to keep the Institution of Slavery alive and unleashed atrocities against indigenous Africans.  “… the colonization of the free people of color, will render the slave who remains in America more obedient, more faithful, more honest, and, consequently, more useful to his master, is it proper to regard this happy consequence to both, as the sole object which the Society hopes to attain…” (ACS)

Congress also passed the Indian Removal Act of 1830, which removed and killed thousands of Native Americans. He said the new nation must prioritize mitigating the ongoing harm of officially sanctioned racism by apologizing and making reparations for slavery, and American Colonization.

If America can come up with billions of dollars to support justice for Ukraine, AKA clean up Putin’s mess, America can clean up its own mess in the USA and atrocities in Liberia against indigenous Africans, he said.

According to him, the ethnically cleansed African Americans, aka “free men of color” were colonized by the US Government through a law passed by Congress on March 3, 1819, that appropriated $100,000.00 in American taxes and authorized the force of the US Military: They were escorted by the U.S. Navy ship Cayenne landed at the port of Freetown, Sierra Leone in search of a suitable place to build an American Colony. Later, the U.S. Navy Ship Nautilus commanded by U.S. Navy Captain Robert Stockton join the group and help secure land by pointing a pistol at the head of King Long Peter.”

By marking “PEACEMAKERS” on all the “write in” slots, Rev. Krua said is a huge opportunity for people with common sense to end the division and gridlock the Republicans and Democrats are trapped in.

“Only the oppressed can save America”

According to Rev. Krua, the leaders of the Republicans and Democrats cannot unite America, only those oppressed by America can.

On November 7, 2020, President-Elect Joe Biden joyfully offered to unite and heal America. “With the campaign over, it’s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation. It’s time for America to unite. And to heal. We are the United States of America. And there’s nothing we can’t do if we do it together.”  Biden failed to unite America, he stated.

With nearly two years into his presidency, Rev. Krua said instead of uniting America, President Biden is neglecting America’s mess of polarization, colonization, and chronic systemic racism in his own backyard and seeking to clean up Putin’s mess of colonialism by seeking “justice” for Ukraine by spending billions of dollars for weapons, not peace.

Through America’s action, he said Mr. Biden is simply saying that Americans and the rest of the world would have to pay more for gasoline and energy, “for as long as it takes…” to contain Russian aggression.

On Biden’s participation in Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, Rev. Krua said the U.S. President left behind him the American mess of racism, slavery, and colonization to mourn the collapse of the “brutal barbaric” British Empire and the demise of the Queen, a British Monarchy. He re-echoed President Biden’s comments of insensitivity to victims still struggling worldwide due to the violence of British Colonization after he signed a book of condolence and visited the Queen lying-in-state in Westminster. “You were fortunate to have had her for 70 years, we all were. The world’s better for her.” Biden sang “God save the King.”

Like the Democrats, Krua also feels the Republican Party cannot unite and heal America. After the 2020 elections, President Trump claimed he won, even though he lost. He noted that Trump supported a mob that violently stormed the US Capitol in an insurrection that resulted in multiple deaths.

Democrats and Republicans’ stance on Racism against Blacks

Rev. Krua is a prominent Liberian human rights advocate and founder of the Universal Human Rights International (UHRI) based in Boston. Through the UHRI, Rev. Krua made significant achievements in the advancement of refugees and minority groups in the United States.

His UHRI launched the Free Liberia Movement, which calls for a re-birth of Liberia and an end to “systemic racism against black people, especially Liberians and other minority groups.

Rev. Krua has over the years repeatedly challenged some historical facts regarding the United States’ role in the formation of Liberia and its aftermath.

In his statement, he asked, “How good are the Democrats and Republicans when it comes to racism against Blacks in general and the ongoing ill-treatment of Liberians in particular?”

Giving some historical background, he said President George Washington signed the racist law of 1790 that said “only white persons” could be US citizens. After President Washington, eight presidents of the United States, including Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, and John Tyler, supported the ethnic cleansing of America that aimed to strengthen the institution of slavery while removing and banishing African Americans and Native Americans from the land of their nativity, he wrote.

He noted that the competition between American politicians supporting officially sanctioned racism has been fierce. Writing further, he said “Only white governors ruled the colony of Liberia from 1822 until 1841. During that period, of the 4,571 African American emigrants who arrived in Liberia between 1820 and 1843, only 1,819—40%—were still alive in 1843.

After the American Apartheid law was passed by Congress in 1790, he noted that American government officials knew African Americans exported to the colony were dying in West Africa but they continued to send Blacks to their death while welcoming over 1.12 million European immigrants to the USA from 1790 through 1840. Thousands of Native Americans and African Americans and indigenous West Africans died because of the racist policy that was implemented, he said.

He said: “While the harm of the 1790 racist laws continues Liberians in 2022. The US Embassy in Monrovia earns millions of dollars yearly through an unfair visa refusal scheme against over 70% of Liberian US visa applicants and also an unjustifiable and unfair exclusion of Liberian Refugees as beneficiaries of the Liberian Refugee Fairness Act in the USA. At the same time, the US Federal Government passed laws to protect animals.

The Prevention of Cruelty against Animals, signed on November 20, 2019, by President Trump criminalized the ill-treatment of animals with up to seven years imprisonment. However, the ongoing cruelty to human beings (Liberians) and refugees protected under International Humanitarian Laws has gone unchallenged and unaddressed.”

Meanwhile, as Liberians suffer in America and Liberia, Congress passed a law in 1992 that allowed 52,968 Chinese nationals granted DED after the Tiananmen Square incident to adjust to permanent residency status. The Chinese are not alone. Congress also passed legislation that allowed 150,000 Nicaraguans, 5,000 Cubans, 200,000 El Salvadorans, and 50,000 Guatemalans to adjust to permanent residency status. If work permits were good for Chinese, Cubans, and El Salvadorans, why not Liberians?.”

He said former President George W. Bush, a Republican, granted work permits to other nationals but would not grant work permits to all Liberians who were seeking a safe place in America.

According to him, Trump signed the Fairness Act but the law failed to follow precedent and it unfairly excluded about 6000 thousand Liberians until now.

He ended his statement with scriptures from the Bible.

“Revelation 181-4 An Angel with a mighty voice, shouted: “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.

For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes!

Prevent the collapse of America with your ballot.”
