Monrovia – Not since the release of her freshman EP “Rich with you” has Faith Terryson alias “Faithvonic” been so hyped about an upcoming musical effort.
Her latest, Badway, featuring Hipco icon Takun J and PCK, is an up-tempo, fast-paced ode to love, chronicling the lives of two obsessed lovers having no remorse or worries about how the world feels.
“I wanted a song that anyone can relate to. Most importantly, a song for lovers, for newly-weds in the traditional sense of a real African wedding,” Faithvonic says.
Touted as one of the top recording artists in Liberia today, Faithvonic has set herself apart from many of her peers by focusing on music that makes people happy. Her creativity and soulful voice on Badway, stands.
For Faithvonic, the collaboration with Takun J and PCK showcases some of the best the Hipco music has to offer.
“There’s so much in Liberia that we’ve been through,” she says.
Music has been an escape from Faithvonic, whose rugged childhood prepared her for the portfolio of music she is creating today.
Faithvonic hopes her song will reach out to the targeted audience and be the number one love song for this year.
Asked what should fans expect from the upcoming EP, she replied: “My upcoming EP is a mixture of international collaborations and also mixed African languages. I’m exploring some African culture too in other to get the attention from their market.
Faithvonic added she wants to expand my Seafood brand by next year after touring.
Meanwhile, PCK, when asked what he makes of Faithvonic’s rising musical career, he said: “It’s so remarkable because she knows what she wants, especially when it comes to featuring the right artists on her music. I pray she will continue to put more energy in what she’s doing to become one of Liberia’s best both locally and internationally.”
